The Tea Centre (Aus)

I visited the quaint little Tea Centre store in Brisbane Arcade in the heart of the CBD a few weeks back and it was just delightful. I came away with a Little Geisha Mug & Strainer Set and a matching tin filled with Cream Black Tea. Now the tea is not my normal choice being that it is flavoured with vanilla and caramel, but I must say I have been pleasantly surprised and am enjoying it on these colder days. Lightly fragrant and just enough sweetness to feel a little indulgent. The Geisha Mug is perfectly sized (300ml) to brew up my tea of choice. With its generous strainer and nicely fitting lid it is so easy to brew a loose leaf tea perfectly. Once brewed pop the strainer onto the upturned lid – no mess! Being porcelain and double walled it maintains its heat well which is perfect for those long days in the office. https://theteacentre.com.au/

The Tea Centre have a vast selection of teas; Classic Black, Green, Flavoured Black & Green, Rooibos, White, Oolong, Fruit Infusions and Herbals. Now it is their Herbal range that has really taken my fancy. They have created herbal teas to help with relaxation, cleansing, energising, immunity, tummy soothing and general health. The colours and fragrances were truly captivating. With names like Bright Eyed & Bushy Tailed (Energising Blend), Ginger Kiss (Tummy Soothing Blend), and Glow (Cleansing Blend), how could you not be enticed into trying them?

Brewing times are very important when it comes to tea and The Tea Centre have their own Brewing Guide on their website. But just for ease here is the link https://theteacentre.com.au/brewing-guide/ check out the delicious sounding Stovetop Chai recipe too ๐Ÿ™‚

Timing is everything in the world of tea โ™ฅ

One of the very exciting things I spotted on my visit were the Tea Warmers…I hadn’t seen these kind before and was really impressed. Just light the tealight candle and pop your teapot on the raised trivet and Bob’s your Uncle – warm tea for longer. Great for tea parties, long lunches, high teas and meetings.

The Tea Centre also have a lovely boxed gift selection to suit all budgets and occasions. Presented in gold tins there is an array of options and they look so nice boxed up ready to gift to that special someone. Follow the team on Facebook so you won’t miss out on new stock and tea blends https://www.facebook.com/TheTeaCentre/

  1. That tea mug is adorable! I drink herbals, quite often loose teas, so that is perfect with the strainer! I love it ๐Ÿฅฐ

  2. I love this mug!! We lived in Japan for a few years in the 70โ€™s and I love anything Japanese, as I left part of my heart there. The tea sounds delightful and soothing. Thank you for sharing! Cathi (DAF)

      1. My favorite is plain green tea. I like jasmine-flavored green tea too and rooibos too, but most of the time I only drink plain green tea.
