Writing is a job, a talent, but it’s also the place to go in your head. It is the imaginary friend you drink your tea with in the afternoon.

Here I am again with #2 in my Over the Teacups Series. I was overwhelmed and very surprised with the success and comments from the first post in this series. It goes to show the level of support, networking, commitment and friendship that can be created and nurtured throughout the blogging forums. There are so many groups, sites and pages that have been set up by different bloggers around the globe to encourage and assist with navigating the blogging world it can be a little bit mind blowing on where to join, who to ask for help and what pages to commit to. I recently went through an ‘e-cleansing phase’ – basically culled a lot of pages and groups that I didn’t feel met my requirements. I want blogging to be an enjoyable thing for me – not stressful, not demanding and not something I dread doing. My aim is to share my love of all things tea and travel by blogging when I feel I have something worthy and interesting to share – not just because I have a timeline to adhere to. So with that being said I have another list of genuinely interesting bloggers that I would love for you to drop in on:
♥ If poetry, fictional writing and day to day anecdotes are what you are looking for then look no further than Marian at Just Muddling Through Life. Genuine, heartfelt and truly creative writing that I always save and re-read.
♥ Jenny from the Traveling Party of Four Blog began her blog in 2017 as a virtual scrapbook of memories for her children, but now she is a serious travel blogger with helpful hints, real experiences and a fun easy-going style.
♥ Ellen from Ellenbest24 who is a talented writer from Suffolk in the UK. She blogs about her real life adventures and excerpts of creative writing.
♥ Gemma is a true warrior, she has a blog called Wheelescapades; Tea, Tours and Escapades. Tales of a life with wheels. Gemma is such a talented blogger, an abundance of interesting articles about her day to day experiences, frustrations and all topped with a light-hearted sense of humour.
♥ Jenn Summers from The Old Summers Home is a DIY, Home Decor and Lifestyle blogger. She has amazing recipes and crafts too and as well as being a mum, wife and blogger she also helps her husband with his business!
♥ You have to check out Lorna at Gin & Lemonade…with a twist! She writes all the way from the Isle of Skye, entertains us with her take on parenting, living with a disability and advocating for equal accessibility.

Where so you get your inspiration to blog from? I seem to have a never ending supply of ideas, draft posts on the go, notes with little reminders. For me, in some ways it is easy having a niche blog – not too many ways to fall off the wagon so to speak 😉 Here’s a few ideas I have to get the creative juices flowing;
- Go for a walk – choose somewhere different
- Sit and have a pot of tea, take some time for you
- Read a magazine or article you wouldn’t normally look at
- Listen to music
- Spend some time in the garden
- Meet up with a friend
- Always take a notebook and pen – you never know when an idea might occur
- Take photos – you can always include them in your posts
- Breathe – it is supposed to be fun ♥

Thanks Kyndall Ramirez
So where in the world are you? I would love to know. I’m currently in New Zealand but soon to be heading off gallivanting around the world with my chap, exploring and discovering. You can read all about it here – We are going on an adventure ♥

Thank you for highlighting my blog. I already found a fresh connection at the blog of …fromtheoldsummerhome. As a lover of tea and your beautifully presented blog you won’t keep me from putting my feet up and having a chin-wag frequently. Happy Newyear Justine. Tweeted!

Thank you for the recommendations – Look forward to checking them out. Reading blogs is an endless source of inspiration for me. My weekends are my most meaningful reading time in the week, and I always get so much out of it. As for the writing process- it differs for me from one week to the next. Some posts flow easily, some are harder to put down on “paper”. Life and work usually supply the ideas, inner peace supply the best writing conditions:) Thank you for sharing this!

I’ve never come across a tea blogger before. I love my tea – I’m even having a cuppa this very moment. In London, there’s a wonderful tea store – Postcard Teas – that has a fantastic collection of loose leaf teas. Anyway, thanks for your tips!..

Justine, love that photo at the top (vintage woodstove and kettle). My whole life is all about tea, so I’m always happy to find other tea aficionados! Having grown up drinking black tea since about the age of two and with lots of good British baking, it’s a constant in my life wherever I am. My blog has been posting lots of it since February 2010. Wishing you all the best. #BOSS
