Peace, happiness and joy is possible during the time I drink my tea.
Thich Nhat Hanh
Sometimes things and people come into your life at just the right time…these quotes have really resonated with me and I wanted to share. Why not listen to some soulful Tea Ceremony music while you read and savour a cup of your favourite tea. Enjoy ♥

Tea is an act complete in its simplicity.
When I drink tea, there is only me and the tea.
The rest of the world dissolves.
There are no worries about the future.
No dwelling on past mistakes.
Tea is simple: loose leaf tea, hot pure water, a cup.
I inhale the scent, tiny delicate pieces of the tea floating above the cup.
I drink the tea, the essence of the leaves becoming a part of me.
I am informed by the tea, changed.
This is the act of life, in one pure moment, and in this act the truth of the world suddenly becomes revealed: all the complexity, pain, drama of life is a pretense, invented in our minds for no good purpose.
There is only the tea, and me, converging.
~ Thich Nhat Hanh

If we’re not mindful, it’s not tea that we’re drinking but our own illusions and afflictions.
If the tea becomes real, we become real.
When we are able to truly meet the tea, at that very moment we are truly alive.
~ Thich Nhat Hanh

Drink your tea slowly and reverently, as if it is the axis on which the world earth revolves – slowly, evenly, without rushing toward the future. Live the actual moment. Only this moment is life.
~ Thich Nhat Hanh
This one is particularly special to me as I wrote a post last year …Be Present With a Cup of Tea which has a wonderful piece of Tea Meditation music and poetry included.

This cup of tea in my two hands, mindfulness is held uprightly. My body and mind dwell in the very here and now.
~ Thich Nhat Hanh

If we choose to drink a cup of tea in mindfulness, the pleasure of drinking tea will more than double because we are truly there and the tea is also truly there.
~ Thich Nhat Hanh

These quotes are lovely and very poignant reading as I’m sitting in my garden quietly drinking tea. I often think I actually do drink tea mindfully. The piece of music was beautiful I just listened to it first (I wasn’t sure how to do both at the same time) and then read these lovely quotes 💚
