Each spice has a special day to it. For turmeric it is Sunday, when light drips fat and butter-colored into the bins to be soaked up glowing, when you pray to the nine planets for love and luck

Turmeric is a beautiful flowering plant related to the ginger family. The turmeric root has been used for thousands of years in Ayurvedic cooking, Chinese traditional medicines and dyeing, but much more recently in some exotic tea blends.

Maitea have created a sensational tea blend called Spiced Turmeric Tea. It combines Turmeric, Liqourice and Ginger root, Cinnamon, Lemon Myrtle, Back Pepper and Tulsi that together form a wonderfully warming and calming tea. I love turmeric and use it a lot in my cooking, so when I was able to try this tea I was very excited. I have had it over different times of the day when working, or relaxing and each time it still provides me with a warm comfort and a very settled feeling. Brew time and temp – infuse for 5-7 minutes @ 100 deg celsius – just perfect ♥ Definitely one to try ♥

I drink Golden Milk occasionally to get my turmeric fix although I do use it a lot in cooking but haven’t tried a tea this sounds interesting and as I don’t generally take milk I may like this 🙂 Did you add milk as it doesn’t say? 🙂
