Sunshine Bloggers Award Nomination!

What a way to stat the weekend with this nomination! Thank you to my fellow blogger Breakup, Makeup, Wakeup https://www.breakupmakeupwakeup.com/?m=1 for this, it has truly blown me away.

Very blessed and humbled to be nominated, especially given that my blog is still brewing 😉 My understanding is that this Award is awarded to Bloggers by Bloggers all over the globe to help promote and encourage us to keep on going and put ourselves out there – no easy task! So, I take a bow for my nomination and thank everyone who has supported me with The Tea Chest Blog thus far.

1        Which do you think is your best Blog-post and why?   Breath and Embrace Your Tea https://the-tea-chest.blog/2019/04/06/breathe-and-embrace-your-tea-%e2%99%a5/ I enjoyed researching it, rediscovering how tea makes me feel and reminding myself to take some time for myself. I feel it resonated with my audience too.
If you let me know I’ll read/comment on it if I haven’t already.  Perhaps everyone I have nominated could do likewise, just to give all these amazing bloggers listed here an additional bit of support.
2        Which is the worst Blog-post you have written and why?   Hmm probably some of my earlier ones, Whats Your Poison…. I was so excited to start blogging that I didn’t really impress myself or probably my readers. I didn’t evolve any comments, just left it hanging. Have learnt so much from other bloggers and love getting feedback. https://the-tea-chest.blog/2019/01/21/whats-your-poison-so-to-speak/

3        With the exception of ‘death’ cause that’s a forgone conclusion for everybody and everybody’s loved one…name one thing that has happened in your life that you wish you could change, and why. I wish I had been braver in my youth/adulthood. I had a dream to pursue a particular career and I listened to people who didn’t have my best interests at front of mind and I was quite easily influenced back then. I have no regrets and have learnt a lot from experiences both good and bad. I have a saying “that I wouldn’t be who I am today if it wasn’t for my past”; I truly believe this ♥
4        If you were given a million quid/dollars etc and you had to spend it within 72 hours what would you do with it and why? Easy…pay our mortgages, set up our children, help our families out, buy a yacht and sail the world.
5        If you could change something about yourself (a certain character trait/something about your looks/a mannerism etc) what would that thing be? Hahaha I have one of ‘those’ faces where you know exactly what I am thinking and feeling. I have been told I should never play poker! Would love to be a little less obvious.
6        If you knew now what you knew now when you were 16, how do you think your life would have been different. I would have followed my dream career, trusted my instincts more but I still would have made all the same decisions when it came to love and life.
7        Excluding children (cause I don’t have any so I can’t join in and I know many of you will choose these(!)), what’s been your biggest life achievement? Being happy and independent.
8        Let’s go all ‘Desert Island Discs’ for a moment – actually, let’s rip it right off.  Give me your five favourite songs and if they provoke memories, let’s hear the memory! Ugh just 5? I love music and have a varied love for it but if I have to pick just 5…Under the Bridge (RHCP), Tennessee Whiskey (Chris Stapleton), Babooshka (Kate Bush), Blue Ain’t Your Colour (Keith Urban) and Desert Rose (Sting).
9        What/who (famous person or otherwise) makes you laugh hysterically? My daughters make me laugh and smile so much. Both have a great sense of humor ♥ Famous person would be Michael McIntyre or Robin Williams.
10   If you could re-live one day in your life, which day would it be and why?  Oh boy, when you get to my age there are a few days I could re-live and do things a bit differently but mostly appreciate all the more knowing now what I didn’t know then. If I had to choose just one day it would be the last time I had lunch with my ‘Big Bro’, I would have told him how much he meant to me… 😦
