Zealong Tea (NZ) @ The Origin (Christchurch)

I was lucky enough to be in Christchurch for work this week and discovered a delightful little cafe in St Albans called The Origin – Specialty Tea & Coffee…right up my alley! https://www.facebook.com/TheOriginNZ/
Besides the beautiful fresh and raw healthy foods they serve they have a fantastic range of Zealong Teas; all elegantly displayed under glass cloches so you can lift and smell each one while trying to decide which flavours you need to experience. Admittedly, I wasn’t overly adventurous with my first pot (I blame the red-eye flight) and tried the Black tea – full-bodied with a sweet, honeyed undertone and a silky finish, one of the best Black teas I have ever tried (and I have tried a few!). I went back at lunch time and tried the Fire and Ice tea – WOW! A warming Black Tea with ginger, manuka, peppermint and spearmint perfectly blended to compliment and enhance each flavour; my new favourite!!
